Set a budget for the event space

A useful marquee budget covers the setting your guests will actually use. The tent is the starting point; furniture, flooring, lighting and the event facilities can change the overall figure. Before comparing prices, decide which of those elements you need the marquee supplier to provide.

Keep your date and guest numbers consistent when requesting quotations. A proposal for a seated meal with dancing is not directly comparable with a simple covered reception, even when both mention the same number of guests.

Separate essentials from finishing touches

Start with the items needed to deliver your planned event: the structure, an agreed floor arrangement, guest furniture and appropriate lighting. Ask the team what your site and season mean for the proposal. Put styling upgrades and extra lounge furniture in a second list so you can make clear choices if the total exceeds your budget.

Ask your caterer and entertainers what they are supplying themselves. This can prevent duplicate furniture or equipment bookings, and it helps identify gaps before the event. A supplier responsibility list is often more useful than an early mood board.

Compare the written scope

Check delivery, installation, collection and the hire period in each proposal. Explain any restricted access or fixed venue handover times at the outset, because they can affect how the job is planned. Confirm the complete payable total and any optional items directly with the team.

There is no single price that fits every site and layout. We have deliberately avoided giving a generic starting figure here that could misrepresent your event. The quote builder is a useful starting point; your written proposal should confirm the final specification.

Keep changes visible

Maintain one current list of quantities and choices. If your guest count increases, ask for the whole layout and associated equipment to be reviewed instead of adding chairs in isolation. Agree who can approve changes so that suppliers are working to the same brief.

Explore our packages and event accessories, then send your preferred date and postcode. A well-defined brief makes it easier to prioritise the parts of the celebration that matter most to you.

Budget for toilets, power and the working areas

Ask what facilities the venue already provides before adding hire items. Consider guest toilets, catering preparation, refrigeration, lighting and the equipment needed by the bar and entertainment suppliers. Confirm who is arranging each item and whether delivery, setup and collection are included in the written proposal.

Explore luxury toilet hire, generator hire and bar options. Give the team the event timings and supplier requirements so the complete setup can be discussed together.
